How to grow it
SEED PREPARATION: Open your Seeds In A Cup kit and remove the seed packet. Soak coffee seeds in warm (not hot) water for 24 hours to soften the parchment layer. This is critical for germination.
PLANTING: Fill your Seeds In A Cup container with the provided growing medium. Plant seeds ½ inch deep. Water thoroughly until moisture drains from the bottom. Place in a warm location (70-80°F) with bright, indirect light or under a grow light for 12-14 hours/day. Cover with the humidity dome to maintain moisture. Germination takes 30-60 days (sometimes up to 90 days) — be patient!
SEEDLING CARE: Once seedlings emerge, remove the humidity dome. Keep soil consistently moist (never soggy). Provide bright, indirect light — direct sun will scorch young coffee leaves. Coffee plants love humidity; mist leaves regularly or use a pebble tray. When seedlings reach 4-6 inches, transplant to a larger pot with acidic, well-draining soil. Coffee is a lifetime indoor plant in most climates (Zones below 10).
