It all started with a snowy day and a $100 bet.
The Day Everything Changed
It was January 2023. A freezing, snowy day. My friend and I stumbled upon an old greenhouse buried under the snow. Most people would have walked away, but we dragged a heater inside, fought off the bitter cold, and spent hours planting hundreds of seeds into little cups.
Surrounded by rows of potential life in that freezing greenhouse, I looked at my friend and said, "We should make these for people. It's just seeds in a cup, but it's awesome."
He laughed. "No one is going to buy that, Kevin."
I put a $100 bill on the table. "I bet they will."
Today, we ship thousands of kits nationwide. We help families unplug, get off their screens, and get their hands dirty. (And yes, he still owes me that $100).

We made a choice early on. We could have automated everything to save a few pennies, but that takes the soul out of gardening.
